CRCA hosted the annual Bear Mountain Classic in scenic Harriman State Park on May 5th as almost 400 riders competed for the State Championship on the biggest one-day open race in New York. Competition was high in all fields, which winded through the State Park over a constantly changing profile that didn’t favor any single type of racer. Most fields competed for 42 to 57 miles, with the Men’s Cat 3 racing 71 miles and the Elite men going 85 miles. Despite cool weather and often a light drizzle, fields enjoyed great support from the CRCA staff, a fleet of nine moto-officials, and two fully-equipped neutral service cars. Thank you to all, and congratulations to our new champions and proud owners of the coveted Bear Mountain Classic Stuffed Bears!
